Fees from January 2026

Please Note

Fees are due to be reviewed April 2026

Jack in the Box Day Nursery is open from 08:00 - 17:45 for 51 weeks of the year.

Funded sessions are offered term time only for 38 weeks of the year.

Working Parent 30 Hours Funding Entitlement

For children entitled to 30 hours funding, this will be offered as 30 hours per week across 5 full days Monday to Friday. Free funded hours will be offered 09:00 - 15:00 for 38 weeks of the year.

We will only be offering 30 hours funding to 10% of our children. Just because your child may be eligible, they will not automatically be offered the 30 hours with Jack in the Box - this will be offered subject to availability.

30 hour spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Should our spaces be full, your child will be added to the waiting list. Although we may not be able to offer you 30 hours, you will still be able to access your 15 funded hours and are welcome to pay for additional hours.

Important Food Information

All food consumables are optional - you can provide your own as an alternative.

If you choose to provide your own snacks and lunch for your child, due to food storage and safety regulations, you will be required to provide an ice pack within your child's lunch box to ensure that food is kept cool.

We are unable to reheat or cook any food brought from home due to environmental health regulations. All food brought into the setting must strictly adhere to our food from home policy, particularly due to allergies within the nursery and food hygiene regulations.

Creative Curriculum Fund (Voluntary)

The Government issued guidelines from April 2025 stating:

"Local authorities should inform providers that they can charge parents for certain extras related to the free hours, but these charges must be voluntary for the parent: Consumables used by the child such as nappies and suncream; Meals and snacks consumed by the child; Additional optional activities like events, celebrations, specialist classes (such as music or foreign languages) or other activities not essential to the effective delivery of the early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework".

Therefore, we have introduced a voluntary creative curriculum fund offering children and parents access to a range of resources and activities.

Our Creative Curriculum Fund Offers:

  • Access to all creative activities
  • Group activities such as music and movement
  • Cooking activities
  • Community walks/outings
  • Seasonal handmade gifts (Christmas, Mother's/Father's Day)
  • Seasonal events (Easter egg hunt, teddy bears picnic)
  • Parents evenings
  • Access to your child's online learning journal via Tapestry
  • Access to the book library
  • External visitors (Creative Flair, Brilliant Brushers)

Contribution

The creative curriculum fund will be a voluntary contribution of £20 per term (there are 3 terms throughout the year).

Christmas term will increase to £30 due to fun week being included where extra craft activities will be made.

Payment Information

Childcare vouchers are accepted.

Four weeks' notice, in writing, is required if you wish to withdraw your child's place. If you require to change your child's sessions, we require four weeks' notice - therefore four weeks' fees will be payable.

Fees need to be paid one month in advance, or at the start of each week.

Late payment charges: £15.00 per each late week.

Late collection of children: £2.00 per each late minute (payable in cash).

Fees are still payable during sickness/holidays. Fees are also still payable during non-funded weeks - this will mean that your child can attend for their normal hours if you need, or you can reduce hours so that you are still paying the same that you would during funded weeks.
