Children enjoyed bringing their own teddy bear to nursery to celebrate National Teddy Bear Day. We participated in a range of teddy themed activities including playdough to create our own bears, music and movement and using our imagination and role play to have our own teddy bear picnic.
A small group of preschool children enjoyed a visit to Holly Grange House Care home to enjoy a teddy bears picnic with some yummy teddy bear treats provided for them and participate in some teddy activities, including story time with one of the residents. This was a great opportunity to explore the local community. Links with the community aids children’s understanding of the world and visiting the care home also enabled children to experience celebrating special events through generations.
