Parents letter January 2019

14/01/19

Dear Parent/ Carer

We hope that you all had a lovely Christmas, Happy New Year to you all 🙂

Safeguarding

We have recently changed the lock and the buzzer release system on the main door. Please ensure that you press the buzzer when entering the building to announce that you are here. The gates at the front and rear of the garden will be locked between busy periods as an extra safeguarding measure. If the gates are locked please ring the doorbell, if there is no response please ring the nursery.

Please ensure that your child has a coat, hat, scarf and gloves for the cold weather as they will be going outdoors throughout the day. Also, if you can provide a pair of wellies or outdoor shoes as the children still access the grassed areas in all weather conditions. Please ensure that your child’s belongings are clearly labelled to avoid them from going missing.

Concerns/ Complaints

If you have any concerns or complaints please come to the office to discuss this with either Sam or Clare. Or you can send an email to info@jackintheboxnuneaton.co.uk . Often concerns can be mentioned to the girls during busy periods and can lead to messages not being sufficiently passed on to management.

Funding forms

If you are eligible for 15 or 30 hours funding please ensure that you have signed a funding form and a zero hours form. If you have not yet done so please ensure that you ask a member of staff. Please ensure that we have a copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport.

We require a month’s notice prior to any change of sessions or times. If sessions are booked you will be required to pay for this as stated on the enrolment form, this includes if sessions are booked and then cancelled, sickness/ illness, or holidays.

Sickness

Those with a temperature and other specific signs and symptoms should be kept off until they are better. In the case of diarrhea and/or vomiting children are not permitted to return until 48 hours after the last episode of illness.

Please be vigilant if your child appears to be showing any symptoms that may be linked to chicken pox, measles, or hand, foot and mouth as this can be dangerous to pregnant women. Not only is it important that we protect the children we also have a duty of care to protect our staff.

Thank you for your continued support. If you require any help, assistance or information the office door is always open and we are always contactable via phone or email.

Many thanks

Sam and Clare
