The theme for chatter matters this year was ‘on the go’. We have enjoyed participating in activities themed around transport and movement.
What better way to begin chatter matters with a visit from the fire service and the police, the children enjoyed exploring the fire engine and talking about the wheels, ladder, hose and were all lucky enough to sit inside too.
We have been enjoying moving around indoors and outdoors using different modes of transport, walking, running, jumping, rolling, pedalling and scooting. The children used their imagination and critical thinking skills to put together crates to create a bus and used binoculars to spot transport in the sky.
You can incorporate chatter matters with your child in the local community talking about the different modes of transport you can see, the colours and the sounds.
