We have enjoyed participating in a range of activities to celebrate Chinese New Year. Babies and toddlers have been using their senses to explore the noodles, decorating Chinese lanterns and bubble painting tigers. Preschool have been using one handed tools to explore the noodles, making dragon masks and moving their bodies to dragon music. They also enjoyed working as a team with their peers to build the Great Wall of China and developed their risky play skills by balancing on the beams. Children have been able to make links to their own experiences, discovering they have similarities and differences that connect them to and distinguish them from others.
